Another 1959 release, this is one of three official duet dates released on LP by these two. As usual, sparks fly between the dueling alto saxes when the heir apparent Woods is joined by the seemingly unknown and definitely under-recorded Quill. Arrangements pay homage to the masters with material from Sonny Rollins, Charlie Parker, Stan Getz and Dizzy Gillespie, none of which is foreign territory for any of the players. Another great Epic Stereo-Rama recordings from producer Mike Berniker.
