The work's rich and imaginative scoring, and its combination of delicate romance and open-hearted, passionate energy suited England's finest conductor perfectly. Beecham had the gift of bringing out the best in his studio colleagues, and in this superlative recording of March 1957, expertly engineered in stereo by the experienced Christopher Parker, the score's drama and subtlety are perfectly realised. Testament's reissue, produced to exactly the same criteria as the original stereo release, enables the listener to re-live the excitement experienced by record buyers when the record was first issued in 1958. When the beautiful and clever Scheherazade their stories actually so confused and vacuous - not to tell cacophonous miss sounding - had told how the composer reproduces the music, then the Sultan would have certainly hang after the second or third night, or to chop off her head ". the American music critic, in 1897 - nine years after its first performance - such Tones about Rimsky-Korsakov's orchestral suite "Scheherazade" spat, has already been sent by the audience in the night of the Arabian desert. Rimskijs magical, exotic oriental touch tone poem based on motifs from the stories from "The Arabian Nights" enjoyed soon extremely popular and is still one of the most performed works at all in the symphonic repertoire. Princess Scheherazade therefore told the Sultan Shahryar stories to her head rescue. He vowed to kill every woman after the first night together, so that he could never again be unfaithful to him. She tells of the sailor Sindbad, who steers his ship through the sea and experiences the most incredible adventures; From the Prince's calendar, begging as a monk by the world; The young prince and the young princess; of a huge party in Baghdad, which gets out of hand in the roaring story of the shipwreck on the magnetic mountain. From due cacophony: supervisor sweetest whispers the kind-hearted Scheherazade (violin) the gloomy rumbling Sultan their stories ears, until she wins his heart finally. Rimsky must have felt that he had achieved a compositional limit which could no longer be surpassed, with his brilliant, colorful sound painting, written in just 22 days. The genial orchestration virtuoso then turned more and more to the opera.
