Surfer Rosa has been re-mastered by Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab from recently discovered, first-generation analog original master tapes. In 2001 Q magazine named Surfer Rosa as one of the 50 Heaviest Albums Of All Time. In 2003, the album was ranked number 315 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time. Surfa Rosa is also number 6 on Spin Magazine's list of the greatest 100 albums of 1985-2005.
