The modern piano enhances the music qritten in the late 1880's by the artist's great grand father and do justice to an era of the Netherlands Antilles (Curacao) when piano playing was truly an art and a way of life. Randal Corden is an accomplished pianist who shows his versatility in this CD. His fingering is exceptional considering that this kind of music is no longer played by amateurs. I recommend this CD to any one who is a student of the life in the Netherlands Antilles and northern South America (Venezuela and Colombia) during the late nineteenth century. "
