Mark Winkler has contributed lyrics to a great Joshua Redman melody on the track ‘lowercase’ and ‘As We Live and Breathe’ is by the New York Voices’ vocalist Lauren Kinhan. • The title song, A Modern Art, is Claire’s own take on the mass dumbing-down of musical standards in popular music. • Claire Martin is a multi-award winning vocalist whose recent sold-out performances in New York have further established her as "the best ever British jazz singer" (Jazz Times). • Claire has played top jazz venues in the Far East, Australia, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Norway, Denmark and Canada and several successful residencies in New York. • Claire is known to thousands of jazz fans as a presenter of "Jazz Line-Up", the flagship jazz show on the UK’s Radio Station of the Year, BBC Radio 3.
