Saxophone & Flute player, arranger , composer. Born on October 20, 1981, in Kanagawa, Japan and presently resides in Tokyo She is a Libra, and her blood type is B. Ever since she was born, music has always been a part of her life. Her mother was a piano instructor and as a baby, she was always playing around the piano. During her first year of Junior High School, she joined the brass band to play the flute. It was during her junior year in high school that she was touched by the tone and performance of the saxophone and she began to play. For a year, she studied classical sax under the instruction of Hitomi Hara. It was in her senior year of high school when she began playing jazz. Graduated from Senzoku Gakuen Music College, Jazz Course in 2004. While attending college, she studied under Bob Zunk. Kaori, as an alto sax and flute musician released her debut album Solar in February, 2005 under the Victor Entertainment label. In June of that same year, she performed at the Crossover Japan ’05 event held at Yoyogi National Stadium where she received considerable attention. The following year in March, she released her second album Fine which became a long time seller. April of 2006, Kaori became the navigator for the Tokyo FM radio show Jazz In Tokyo. This same year Fine was released both in Korea and Taiwan. March 2007,Kaori performed at the Backan Art Hall for the first time in Korea to a sold out crowd. Kaori’s performance in Korea inspired a lot of young girls to start playing the sax. The same year, she was also given the role of the navigator for a cable television station which broadcasted the Montreal International Jazz Festival 2008, Kaori was invited to play at the Taiwan Government Center performing for a crowd of 2,000. After the concert, she spent over two hours signing autographs for the entire concert goers. Kaori is well known and popular here in Japan for her jazz, fusion, pop and rock performance. Due to her diverse performance genre, she has been receiving much attention from foreign festivals. January 2009, changes management office in order to broaden her career as an all round saxo phone player. She changes her caption from Jazz Saxophonist to Kaori Kobayashi, Sax and flute player. 2010, begins her Japan Tour and in Autumn, she performs in Thailand (Bangkok) as well as in Shanghai. Thailand & Taiwan establishes her fan club. February 2012, She get Award「The Most Beautiful Saxophonist In Asia」 from Sax Society in Thailand June 2012, “Nothings Gonna Change My Love For You” is access on YOU TUBE and over 5.0million viewers access the video and causing quite a stir. November 2012.Performing at HITEC STAR HALL in Hong Kong. December 2012.Performing at SILVER LAKE JAZZ FESTIVAL in Pataya Thailand.
