This CDHALF SPEED MASTERING 1-STEP VINYL contains 6 energizing new tracks bringing additional instruments (including synthesizer) into Ondekoza's traditional Taiko drum based universe of sound. Batten down the hatches! Can your audio system handle the awesome power of the world famous Ondekoza troupe of "Taiko" drummers? These may be the ultimate demo discs of all time for dynamic intensity and power. These XRCD2 editions of Ondekoza's most famous recordings capture the explosive dynamics (as well as the subtle inner chemistry) of the group as never before! Ondekoza is a group of (mostly) percussionists who have been training for many years. Each day, the group's members run for 10 to 20 km, to build strength and stamina. Ondekoza made its explosive debut in 1975 by rushing off to its first performance directly after completing the Boston Marathon. They play new arrangements of "Taiko" (drum) music which are rooted in the essence of various folk arts of Japan. Ondekoza are intimately related to the traditional performing arts presented at the festivals held at shrines and temples. Of these, Kagura (music offered to the gods) featuring the use of enormous "Taiko" drums, has been played all over Japan since ancient times. Ondekoza believes in freeing the spirit through physical energy. Ondekoza's powerful impact and energetic performances on their huge drums, are widely known all over the world.
