My reservation here is the work itself, considerably thicker and denser, bordering on superintellectualism or overburdened romanticism, the kind Schoenberg wrote just before he pitched it for 12-tone. Also, while the pianist (Thomas Hell) is truly musical, I wish he hadn't waited until the final movement to draw out Korngold's bass lines. So much substratum in the first two movements passes unnoticed.
