Portraits of Colorado

An American Symphony No.1" is the first in a series of symphonies composed by Charles Denler. Inspired by a sunrise over the Rocky Mountains, and the incredible works of American painter, Jerry Malzahn, this first symphony carries with it a theme of hope and of new beginnings. Inspired by a sunrise over the Rocky Mountains, and the incredible works of American Painter, Jerry Malzahn, this first symphony carries with it a theme of hope and of new beginnings. The lyrics in one of the movements reflect this: "A Sole Calefiere, Vivet I Alium Diem" translated, "To feel the warmth of the sun, I will live another day". REVIEW: Symphony No. 1...a suite of 10 brief movements each with a descriptive title. These are beautiful miniatures, some with a distant chorus singing in Latin...Audio, as usual with Reference Recordings when working in a fine hall, is superb, rich and defined. --Robert E. Benson, ClassicalCDreview.com
