Mastered by Legendary Engineer Steve Hoffman Released in 1971, Fireball was Deep Purple's fifth studio album and the second with the Mk II lineup. It would become the first of the band's three U.K. #1 albums and it was also certified Gold in the U.S. The album came betweeen 1970's In Rock and 1972's Machine Head, a period considered by many to be Mark II's golden hour. They added a lot more progressive rock to their heavy metal drive and the result is brilliant. Featuring stellar mastering by iconic engineer Steve Hoffman, Audio Fidelity's 24K + Gold edition of this Deep Purple masterwork bests all prior editions. The audiophile label specializes in deluxe packaging with see-through slip cases and beautifully reproduced original graphics.
