Reviews "Here was have the archetypal English sound approach - that is, the sound that you might expect to hear today if you stepped inside almost any Anglican cathedral up and down the country, with sweet toned (if slightly breathy) boys on the top line and countertenors soaring perilously just below them. I would describe it as a lazy sound, not because the members of Christ Church Cathedral Choir are not making an effort (indeed, they are clearly singing their hearts out), but because it is slow to speak, swift to fade and, at times, fails to gather the sense of momentum that can make this exquisite polyphony so complelling."
