Produced by John Simon, the diverse 12-song set features such accomplished Kooper compositions as “I Can’t Quit Her,” “I Love You More Than You’ll Ever Know,” “House in the Country” and “The Modern Adventures of Plato, Diogenes and Freud,” along with excellent takes on Tim Buckley’s “Morning Glory,” Harry Nilsson’s “Without Her” and Randy Newman’s “Just One Smile.” Impex Records latest release in a long line of quality digital audio reissues features all-analog mastering by Kevin Gray and Robert Pincus captured meticulously from hi-resolution digital files transferred from the original master tapes, and includes four bonus tracks from the Columbia archives.
