For more than 30 years, Anita Meyer has been at the top of Dutch entertainment! Together with The Rainbow Train by Hans Vermeulen, Anita had a no.1 hit in 1976 with "The Alternative Way". In the year 1981 her major breakthrough was with the enormous no1. hit. "Why Tell Me Why". This was the best-selling record of 1981. The start was set for an impressive career. Huge hits such as "They Do not Play Our Lovesong Anymore", "Idaho", "The One That You Love", "The Sad Me", eva followed. Later Anita performs in the series of concerts of Lee Towers in Ahoy. They sing together "Run To Me" and that also became a thick no1. hit! Two years later Anita, then the first female singer ever, took the step to Ahoy, resulting in a whole series of sold-out performances. With the international mega hit "Why Tell Me Why", several Top-10 notations, sold-out shows in Ahoy and various awards, Anita Meyer is rightfully the most successful and popular singer from the 80s and 90s!
