David Smith May 29, 2016 I first became aware of Era during the football world cup in France. MasterCard adverts running during the tournament carried tracks from the first Era album. It took an e-mail to MasterCard to identify the performers and the music. An attempt to find the recording(s) in Canada was an exercise in frustration. Finally I located Era and Era 2 in one two-CD pack on sale on eBay from a seller in Australia. The effort was very worthwhile, and those discs have been played constantly. The semi-religious undertones of the meaningless chants are hypnotizing, and the use of electronic instruments bring Gregorian chant into the modern era.
