Andrew Chase 5.0 out of 5 starsIf you love "Der Rosenkavalier" like me: October 12, 2013 This disc is for you. It is a two-disc set with a generous booklet of liner notes and pictures. There are some excellent cuts from Met productions and selected recordings that are unavailable elsewhere; especially the older, historic cuts. "Der Rosenkavalier" is one of my favorite operas, I have many versions of it on CD (probably most every recording that is commercially available) and this recording of historical performances is the cherry on the sundae for me. With excellent transfers, the audio quality is excellent. If you love this opera, this recording is an added bonus to your collection.
