Sofia Pettersson is a jazzsinger with a very personal sound and honest expression and she has made a name of herself in Sweden. Sofia has been inspired by Ricki Lee Jones, Nancy Wilson, Paul Simon a.o. Her repertoir is smiling Swedish jazz with a touch of the American 60’s. She has found her sound by picking up ingredients such as the rhythm and acoustic sound in jazz and smooth and hooking melodies from soul/pop and mixed that with the delicate sensitivety in her voice. This is personal, intimite Swedish jazz at its best! We also would like to remind you of Sofia Pettersson’s first CD on Prophone - "Slow Down" (PCD 066).
