AllMusic Review by Al Campbell For several years, free jazz bassist Wilber Morris had been leading an off-and-on trio with drummer Dennis Charles and either Charles Tyler or David Murray in the tenor saxophone spot. This particular gig included Murray and was recorded live at Kwame in New York City on February 6, 1983, "on a snowy Sunday afternoon," according to the liner notes. The trio tears into originals by Morris and Charles, delivering exactly what you would expect from musicians of this caliber who have spent decades playing together: a heated, collective, free exchange that stands up to repeated listenings. Highly recommended.
