Proprius has previously released three CDs with guitarist Georg Gulyás - Georg Gulyás plays Guitar Music from Latin America and Spain (PRCD 2008), Albéniz / Ponce / Tárrega (PRSACD 2030) och Georg Gulyás plays Bach (PRSACD 2041). These recordings has all been critically acclaimed and the CD Albčniz / Ponce / Tárrega won the award Best Instrumental Music at The 2006 Audiophile Recordings Awards in Hong Kong. Georg Gulyás has been successful in several competitions, winning the first prize at the Karis International Guitar Competition. At the beginning of the 1990s Georg Gulyás was chosen for special promotion by the Concerts Sweden organization which led to his performing all over Europe. He has since performed in Russia, Japan, the USA and Latin America as well as appearing as a soloist with the leading Swedish orchestras. Georg Gulyás studied at the Juilliard School in New York (1998-2000) and at the Malmö Academy of Music (1986- 90). He also received solo diplomas from the École Normale in Paris (1997) and the Royal College of Music in Stockholm (1998). This CD - Georg Gulyás plays Bach II - is the successor to the praised first volume with Bach interpretations. The CD is recorded and mastered by Torbjörn Samuelsson.
