It's a wacky and wonderful collection of songs from The Decoding Society, led by Ornette's funkiest drummer! Rock and jazz and beyond come together in this far-put disc that finds two killing guitarists - Johnson on the left and Fiuczyinski on the right - pushed forward by the amazing Shannon. This is more music the likes of which you've rarely heard! Also on DIW: What Spirit Say - DIW-CD-895 Shannon's House - KOC-CD-7834 Communion / Jef Lee Johnson - DIW-CD-926 DeAngelo Starnes May 10, 2016 A slightly toned down version of Jackson's previous production, Red Warrior. Slightly. The line-up is pared down to two guitar players and one electric bassist. But that does not mean the music is any less intense. Guitarists Jef Lee Johnson and Dave Fiucynski collide and harmonize simultaneously magically. Jackson plays the drum in much the same fashion Cecil Taylor plays the piano (well he drummed for Taylor after all). Worth repeated listenings to focus on each player's contributions. Add this to your collection if you don't already have it.
