During the fifties and the sixties the name of GiÖrgy Cziffra simply stood for "Franz Liszt". Audience and reviewers unanimously recognized the Hungarian great pianist as the best Liszt performer of last century's second half. In fact through his stunning virtuosity, he has been capable to play the visionary originality of the pianistic composition as nobody else. Cziffra has been very popular in Italy where he was frequently performing. Our new CD gets together the 4 most important compositions for piano and orchestra recorded in Rome, Milan and Venice between 1958 and 1960.
