Very nice.
AllMusic Review by Rick Anderson [-] While this is a lovely collection of mostly instrumental arrangements of familiar traditional Christmas songs and tunes, it isn't quite as Celtic in style and mood as the title might lead you to expect. The dominant voices are those of the bouzouki, mandolin, and guitar, and those tunes that have a recognizable cultural flavor ("Greensleeves," "Gower Wassail," "Gloucester Wassail," "Coventry Carol") mostly have more of an English than an Irish or Scottish feel to them. But that doesn't make the music any less lovely or the playing any less tasteful and virtuosic. Robin Bullock, in particular, is a guitarist and bouzouki player of tremendous skill and excellent taste; along with fellow guitarist and bouzouki player Al Petteway and multi-instrumentalist and singer Amy White, he presents here a very fine set of inventive but traditional settings for these very familiar tunes. Highlights include a lovely arrangement for Celtic harp and guitar of "Gloucester Wassail" paired with an original composition by White called "Winterlude," a multi-tracked Bullock rendition of "It Came Upon a Midnight Clear," and a gorgeous setting of "Coventry Carol" for E-Bowed guitars. Very nice.
