Robert Lucas został uhonorowany tytułem "Bluesowe odkrycie lat '90." Otrzymał najwyższe wyróżnienie od międzynarodowej społeczności bluesowej za jego nagrania dla wytwórni AudioQuest. A jego muzyka to inspiracje wprost z Memphis, z tamtejszego nurtu muzyki soulowej po muzykę delty i okolic. Zaprosił do współpracy największych weteranów bluesa, ludzi przepojonych tą muzyką, fantastycznie zgranych i doskonale się rozumiejących. Dzięki temu powstała kolekcja nagrań wzorcowych, wzruszających i naprawdę wielkich. "Well Folks, this is my fourth for AudioQuest Music...different from the others but with that common blue thread that runs through them all. This thread was grown in Mississippi and rode the rails to Chicago. It blew west from the dust bowl to swing Central Avenue. From Manhattan to Memphis this blue thread wove itself into a blanket of Blues that covered the world. As a bluesman in the 90's I've tried to use this whole blanket to make music of my own. Sometimes it's very scary, sometimes it's not scary enough, but the more I record the more I want to explore. This recording goes uptown with the biggest band I've ever worked with , a horn section, a bunch of guitar players and a couple of keyboards. I wanted a loose, greasy Memphis sound and I got it.
