After the success with Babble (Sittel, SITCD 9267) and Songs that we all recognize (Prophone, PCD 078) the Swedish female jazz singer Carin Lundin now at last presents her eagerly awaited follow-up Smulor och parafraser (Crumbs and Paraphrases). With unerring timing, empathy and a personal jazz feeling she sings (mostly in Swedish) about the ordinary day blues in her own Kylskĺpspoesi (Refrigerator Poetry) and about dreams in her lullaby Himlen är av stjärnor full (The Sky is Full of Stars). She also sings songs by several Swedish famous singers and songerwriters such as Lill Lindfors, Ted Gärdestads and Anita Lindblom. The CD also includs the jazz standars I'll Be Seeing You and She's Funny That Way. Carin says as follows about the repertoire: "Dig where you stand, someone said, and I felt, yes, I can find songs to sing, close to me. In my memory, in the present, in my sleep, in my record collection, in my worn out song books and in my notebook". Carin Lundin previus CD on Prophone Songs that we all recognize (PCD 078), released 2005, recieved good reviews in the Swedish press: "...strong intesity" (Svenska Dagbladet) "Carin Lundin's third album and her best so far" (Nordvästra Skĺnes Tidningar) "...a very appealing song album" (Orkester Journalen) Muzycy: Carin Lundin, vocal Johan Setterlind, trumpet, slagverk Erik Soderlind, gitarr, Mathias Algotsson, piano, Fender Rhodes, hammondorgel Mattias Welin, bas Daniel Fredriksson, trummor, congas
