With 28 members, the Inner Galaxy Orchestra owes its success to the efforts made by its musicians, who are in sympathy with Bingo Miki's philosophy. Since all of the orchestra members have regular jobs, midnight was the only time for rehearsal. Regular midnight rehearsals took place for six months before the recording, and all the members participated without pay because they believe strongly in the music. The No.1 tenor saxophonist Hidehiko "Sleepy" Matsumoto, veteran pianist Masaru Imada, and veteran percussionist Tetsuya Furutani, who came all the way from Osaka, appear on the album as soloists. In the ensemble section are multi-reed player Kenji Mori from Nagoya, highly popular singer Mari Nakamoto, Kenji Na-kazawa, Kenji Yoshida and Hiroshi Abiko, all trumpeters with storng personalities, and trombonist Michio Kagiwada. These colourful personnel are joined by lead alto saxophonist Masao Suzuki, lead woodwind player Yukihiko Nishizawa, and lead middle-low range Hiroyuki Minami.
